Bug reports, privacy requests, anything else. There is no contact form, deliberately: the game is a static site with no server of its own to receive one, and a form that quietly posted somewhere would contradict the privacy policy on the next page over.
Swarmgrid is operated by Binary Business, CVR 38836234, Denmark.
What to expect
This is a free game run by a small operation, so replies are best-effort rather than guaranteed, and may take a while. Privacy requests under the GDPR are answered within the statutory month — see the privacy policy, and note that the only data we hold is a short-lived server request log and any problem report you chose to send, so an access or erasure request needs to reach us while they still exist.
Reporting a bug usefully
Four things make a game bug fixable, and without them a report is often impossible to act on:
- Your browser and device — including the operating system version.
- What you did, in enough order that it can be repeated.
- What happened, and what you expected instead.
- The seed and wave, if the run was still going. Runs are deterministic: the same seed and the same draft replay identically, so a seed often turns a story into something reproducible.
A screenshot or a short screen recording is worth a great deal, especially for anything about layout, text that overlaps, or a control you could not reach.
Report a problem from this page
You can also send a short technical report straight from here. You see the whole report before anything leaves, only Send delivers it, and it never includes your saves, progress or settings. The privacy policy says what a report holds and how long it is kept.
Known gaps, so you need not report them
- iOS and iPadOS are untested on real hardware. The game has been verified on Apple's simulator, where it installs, runs and plays offline — but no iPhone or iPad has ever run it. Reports from real Apple devices are especially welcome, and performance problems there are expected rather than surprising.
- Progress lives only in your browser. Losing it to cleared site data, a private window, or a browser reclaiming storage is how the game is built rather than a fault — there is no server copy and no recovery.
- Offline play needs the first visit to finish downloading. An interrupted first load leaves the game online-only until it completes.
