Who is offering this

Swarmgrid is made by Binary Business, CVR 38836234, Denmark ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected].

The game is free

Swarmgrid costs nothing to play. There is no account to create, no subscription, no payment, no advertising and nothing to buy — inside the game or outside it. We are not going to introduce any of those into this version of the game retroactively; if that ever changes it will be a different, clearly labelled offering.

What you may do

Play it, as much as you like, on as many of your own devices as you like, and tell people about it. You may record, stream and publish footage of your own play, including monetised video, without asking us.

What you may not do

The game and its source code are proprietary, and all rights are reserved. Being free to play is not a licence to redistribute: you may not copy, sell, sublicense, decompile or host your own copy of the game, and you may not present it as your own work or bundle it into another product. Nor may you attack the service — no attempting to disrupt or overload it, and no automated traffic designed to degrade it for other players.

Playing the game in an unusual way is not an attack. Modifying what runs in your own browser, or editing your own saved data, is your business and breaks nothing for anyone else — the game is single-player, has no leaderboards and no server authority, so there is nobody to cheat but yourself.

Your saved progress

Your progress lives in your browser's storage on your own device, and never reaches us. We cannot see it, restore it or transfer it. Clearing your browser's site data, using a private window, uninstalling the installed app, or a browser reclaiming storage on a full device will delete it permanently, and no backup exists. Please do not treat it as durable storage for anything you would be upset to lose.

Availability, and no warranty

The game is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. It is a free game run by a small operation: it may be offline for maintenance, may change, and may at some point be withdrawn entirely. We do not promise it will work on any specific device or browser.

Two limitations we would rather state than let you discover. The game needs WebGL and a reasonably current browser, and it will say so rather than fail silently if it cannot start. And its behaviour on iOS and iPadOS hardware is untested — it has been verified only on Apple's simulator, so while it installs and plays there, we make no claim about performance on a real iPhone or iPad.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the game, or for loss of saved progress. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Continuing to play after that is how you accept the change; if you do not accept it, stop playing — since there is no account, there is nothing to cancel and nothing of yours for us to delete.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Danish law, and disputes fall to the Danish courts. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules in your own country.
